Dynamics 365 architecture

Today I want to start and involve you at Dynamics 365 world. I know that subject is wide because of modular and wide of business processes that the system covers and support. Dynamics 365 is cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP and CRM) system which gives You main features at Finance and Operations part:


– Supply chain management
– Commerce
– Human Resources
– Project Operations

and more at:
Sales and Marketing where we have apps responsible for Sales, Marketing and Customer Insights business processes.

Second additional group of applications are Customer services which are responsible for proactive customer service online or onsite and they are basic customer service, field service and customer service insights. This group of apps we can extend by remote service. This is one of the modern apps which gives You possibility to support your client using Artificial intelligence features and help do something at client site using remote hands.

Last group of apps is Commerce. This is one the new applications giving you possibility to sell you goods to your client with the shop. Feature can centralize inventory, fulfillment and merchandising, you can create omnichannel customer experience and lots new possibilities connected at e-commerce.

For more Dynamics 365 is one of the three in Microsoft portfolio cloud hosted environments and they are all integrated with each other. This is big advantage when You plan to use or you use now cloud platform for hosting applications, virtual machines, databases, you use office 365, and some ERP system depends on using different tools, vendors, for all this processes.
Keep in mind that Microsoft has three main ERP/CRM systems

– Dynamics 365 CRM
– Business Central
